How does school work aboard Regina Maris?
During this trip, the school days are alternated with the days of sea work.
On school days the students study alone what they bring from their normal school. This way, they study the same as the students who are in the school.
There are some teachers on board that help the students in their doubts, but the study is mostly autonomous.
How does the Selection Process works?
Unfortunately, not all the students applying to School at sea can participate.
One of the most important things in the students’ Selection Process is their motivation and effort to join the project.
After we apply to School at Sea and after we answer some questions about us and about our motivation to participate, we will be invited to the Selection Weekend , a weekend in the Netherlands in which Team Building activities will be promoted and where we’ll meet more people interested in the program.
Later, we will receive a letter from School at Sea which will tell us if we were selected or not to join the project.
